Rooftop terrace a bonus!

  Property was clean and comfortable, pool was beautiful and convenient to the apartment and the rooftop terrace was a much enjoyed bonus.

Beautifully maintained

  Sugar Hill is beautifully maintained and peaceful and this apartment has perhaps one of the best positions of all.  The rooftop terrace with jacuzzi provided us with the perfect position to take in stunning sunsets.

Brilliant birthday!

Very nice stay

  This is an end unit and so there is a lovely breeze that blows through. We found the bed to be very comfortable and good quality bed linen. The furniture was comfortable and the TV was good as well.

Perfect family holiday

We had the most amazing time at Star Gazer. It is perfectly located and a really solid base to explore all that Barbados has to offer. Communication was clear, friendly and prompt and the apartment is even better than advertised. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Perfect Stay

Star Gazer is the perfect location and property to enjoy the holidays on Barbados. The most important things, like restaurants, shops, supermarkets and diving school are available in 5 to 10 minutes by car. The beautifully furnished apartment has everything you need and is also perfectly managed in Barbados. There is a lot of space for four people and the roof terrace is also covered for evening dinners. Sugar Hill is a beautiful complex with pools, restaurant and gym. We enjoyed the beautiful view from Star Gazer and the access to the Beach Club.

Lovely place to stay

Really good two weeks in this apartment. Lovely pool and gym and people working in reception and Marcia were great too.

Fantastic trip

Just wanted to say thank you for our stay in Barbados. We had another fantastic trip. You have got such a beautiful property, one of the best we have stayed in. Marcia was amazing and a great help, she was brilliant. We are hoping to book again for next year.

Perfect location

The property and the complex are superbly maintained , they are of the highest standard. It is also good value for money, the beach club membership helps to achieve this. The location was perfect for us as we absolutely love that part of the west coast, its beaches and restaurants are terrific.

Beautiful apartment

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful apartment over Christmas and New Year. We all had a great time and the R and R was just what we all needed. It was a great base and we had some great days/nights out. Also a massive thanks to Marcia who was absolutely lovely and looked after us when we had any queries etc.

Great location!

Our third time at Sugar Hill and really enjoyed the apartment! Great location and everything to hand. Enjoyed the top pool, gym and Fairmont Beach Club. Great eating (as always) at Just Grillin’, Zaccios (the view - wow!), Pepenero and happy hour at The Deck. Loved our trips to Northpoint (the Animal Flower Cave) and Bathsheba, home of our all-time favourite, The Round House. Hope to return next year.

Amazing

Amazing country, amazing weather, amazing people! We have once again thoroughly enjoyed our pilgrimage to Barbados. The apartment has been perfect for our needs. Very nicely fitted out!! Natasha has been lovely and it was really great that Marcia came to greet us. We will definitely be back. Until next year Barbados…

Counting the days until we return!

This was our fourth time staying at Star Gazer and it certainly won’t be our last, we love it there and it’s become a home from home for us. The apartment is beautifully decorated, we even had a brand new kitchen this time which was a lovely surprise. Everything you could want is there, even down to a large collection of plugs to use which we needed. The beds are very comfortable with ample wardrobe space and a safe to secure your valuables and twice a week we had Natasha who came in and cleaned the flat thoroughly and changed all the bedding and towels. On the top floor there is a sunbathing deck with a great hot tub where you can watch the sky at night clutching a beer or a glass of wine. Sugar Hill itself is a fantastic community with beautiful gardens, three swimming pools, tennis courts and a fully equipped gym. The restaurant there, The Deck, is a triumph with delicious food and Happy Hour specials and everyone there went out of their way to make you feel at home. The beach passes at the Royal Pavilion get you sun beds and an umbrella and we used the Lone Star on that beach for coffee and breakfasts. We even managed to walk down the beach to Holetown looking at all the stunning properties on the coast and watching all the boats buzzing around. A special mention to the house manager, Marcia Mercer, who went out of her way to help us and the concierge service at Sugar Hill. Always good to know you have a reliable backup should you need it. We have already booked for 2024 and 2025 and counting the days already till we return.

Relaxing home in beautiful grounds

Had a wonderful two weeks at Star Gazer. We love the apartment and spent a lot of time just relaxing and taking things easy! The top deck was a bonus and great for sunbathing and sundowners! Just a short walk away, The Deck was a good place to go out without having to drive and very friendly staff + a ‘mean’ rum punch. Natasha came in twice a week to change beds, towels and clean through. Also, Marcia was always at hand to answer any questions, such great service. We love Barbados and we loved staying at Sugar Hill.

Super Impressed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at Star Gazer. The apartment is set in beautifully kept grounds, with a couple of swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym and a restaurant. One of the pools is very close, the restaurant is excellent and the gym has enough equipment (e.g. 3 treadmills). None were busy (in October): I used the gym a number of times and never saw anyone; and the pools were almost as empty. The location is really ideal, as between Holetown and Speightstown on the west coast: so plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and easy beach access if wished: and by being away from the coast, it is more peaceful. The apartment itself has a covered balcony, great for eating and relaxing away from the sun; and an upstairs balcony which has sun and shade, as well as the hot tub. The upstairs balcony has a beautiful view across to the sea 1km away: excellent sunsets seem guaranteed. The bedrooms have aircon, which you may need for sleep: the main room does not, but you can easily open the doors and get the breeze through which keeps the room cool. Kitchen was well equipped, and with a large fridge meant well equipped for meals at home. All of the logistics with Sue and house manager Marcia were seamless as well. Lastly, I would recommend a car to enjoy the area and island: very easy driving (although do watch potholes) and loads of parking at the apartment. Overall, we were super impressed with both Barbados and in particular Star Gazer.

Relaxing Holiday

Have enjoyed a very relaxed holiday at the apartment in the beautiful Sugar Hill. If you want to get about you would need a car but for total relaxation no better place.

A very special place

We have just spent 23 nights in the most beautiful apartment Star Gazer at Sugar Hill and were very sad to leave. The apartment has everything you need, a full working kitchen with coffee maker, laundry facilities, beach towels, WiFi and Netflix and the maid service twice a week was a real luxury. My husband found the hot tub on the penthouse which was a wonderful way to end the day watching the spectacular sunsets. The Sugar Hill estate itself is a peaceful gated haven with a lovely Clubhouse and restaurant onsite, concierge service if you should need it, well tended grounds, gym, tennis courts and swimming pools. Our favourite pool was the lagoon pool closest to the apartment which we used daily for our early morning swim. We even saw a family of monkeys running to the tennis courts early one evening which was an added bonus. It is only a short journey from the private beach at the Royal Westmoreland which you have access to, and the Lone Star restaurant is a short stroll along the beach. Holetown is a 5 minute journey away with Masseys supermarket and loads of restaurants are close by. We have already booked for next year, it’s a very special place.

Beautiful Condo

Beautiful condo, overwhelmed by the beauty of the island and, more specifically, the grounds surrounding the condo. Such a lush paradise. We enjoyed the pools, the gym and the Royal Pavilion Beach Club. Our dining experience has been amazing including the Restaurant on the property Carizma on the Hill. We also enjoyed having the BBQ and hot tub on the roof top terrace. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. The island and the culture are a true Caribbean gem.

Great location on West Coast

Very conveniently situated on the quieter west coast of Barbados. Sugar Hill complex has lovely swimming pools and a well equipped gym. The grounds are extremely well maintained and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Happy Days!

We so enjoyed our stay in this third floor apartment which provided all we could wish for and more. The apartment is very well fitted with a great bathroom, wonderful dining area on the balcony and the added benefit of a hot tub on the rooftop which has views of the sea and is probably the highest point on Sugar Hill.

Fabulous Stay!

Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location. We really did not want to come home. The apartment was everything we were expecting and suited our needs perfectly as it was so well equipped. I can’t fault anything about Stargazer or Sugar Hill. Thank you Paul and Sue for sharing your beautiful apartment with us. We will be back.

Best Holiday Ever

We have not long returned from our 10 day stay and 10 days was just not long enough. Thank you to Sue and Paul for providing a perfect apartment! Stargazer is just perfect. The kids loved it and didn't want to leave ... neither did I! From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be a great holiday. The clubhouse was stunning, Cynthia at reception was lovely, everyone we met was so nice, the pools were just delightful, the apartment was perfect and in a perfect location. You know when you have hit jackpot as the kids were so content relaxing in the apartment. Hired a car and explored the island and had the perfect base to come back and enjoy sunsets in the hot tub on the roof terrace. We had two sea fishing trips with Blue Fin fishing and we had a super time catching barracuda and swimming with the turtles. Can't wait to book another visit. Best holiday ever!!

Barbados Paradise

We have just spent three weeks in Barbados in Stargazer and cannot recommend this apartment strongly enough. It is beautifully furnished with everything you could need and we felt we were living in a five star hotel. Sue Robinson had even put together the most useful folder with the best restaurants and places to go round the island. We had a lovely housekeeper, Debbie, who came twice a week to clean and change the bed and towels and generally look after us. The apartment is set in the most gorgeous grounds complete with three swimming pools, a fully equipped gym and tennis courts. There is a charming general manager, Nick, who came to our rescue when I managed to lock ourselves out of the safe and also a concierge at the clubhouse who can book restaurants for you. The clubhouse is stunning with an infinity pool that gives amazing views of the sea and lovely comfy chairs you can while away the time in. It houses a great restaurant, Carizma on the Hill, which we used many times for coffee, lunch, dinner and rum punches. The staff were so friendly you immediately felt at home and the food was always delicious and good value. In fact it was such an idyllic setting it was very hard to leave and force ourselves onto the private beach at the Royal Pavilion. The beach card gave us comfy sun loungers and umbrellas and was very close to the Lone Star, one of our favourite restaurants. Stargazer is the most outstanding apartment and has the benefit of a roof terrace and jacuzzi where you can sit and watch the stars or give your tan a great top up in the sunshine. We were so sad to leave and my husband said it had been his favourite holiday ever and we have made plans to come back as soon as possible.

A holiday to never be forgotten!

Had a wonderful 2 weeks at Sue & Paul's apartment in Barbados. This is certainly a beautiful complex with all the amenities to make a truly relaxing time. Wonderful views from the terrace and rooftop where you can relax in the jacuzzi. The clubhouse has a beautiful pool with plenty of sunbeds and shade if needed. Dinner and cocktails at Carizma on the Hillare worth trying, especially the BBQ and Taco Night. They also do a quiz night. Annette our housekeeper was lovely, she kept the apartment very well. We enjoyed walking a lot the first week, taking in the pretty scenery, although it is quite a walk. But it kept us fit! We explored Barbados more with a car on our second week. Driving was easy, signposts were very few, but it's great getting lost sometimes and seeing things off the beaten track. St Nicholas Abbey is a must, beautiful house with a lovely family. Cherry Tree Hill, fantastic views. Animal Flower Cave & Harrison Cave are also a must, amazing to see. Oistins Fish Fry just past Bridge Town was a great night out with the locals, lovely fresh food and very reasonable prices. Our favourite restaurant was The Cliff Beach Club, it had a beautiful setting and great service, and it wasn't as expensive as the different restaurant next door also called 'Cliff'. The Colony Club was great for buffet lunch. The highlight of the holiday was swimming with turtles from the Royal Pavillion Hotel which has a fantastic beach. You meet at 9am and swim out to them. Seeing them for the third time was just as amazing as the first. The whole holiday was wonderful from start to end and will definitely return. Sue and Paul provided us with so much information before we arrived, we felt we knew the complex already. Thank you, Sue and Paul, for letting us stay in your apartment, a holiday to never be forgotten.

Lovely property! Great setting.

The property met the needs of our party of four. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the living area was cozy. Having the roof terrace as well as the balcony was very helpful. The sun loungers on the roof terrace provided a great place to enjoy the sun, whilst at the same time have privacy. The housekeeper and property manager were very responsive and made sure our needs were met. There was a hurricane threat when we visited and the manager made sure we were kept informed about this. The housekeeper changed the beds regularly and the floors were cleaned. The housekeeper was not intrusive. There is good security at Sugar Hill and people are friendly. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful view from rooftop hot tub and great resort

Our family had a wonderful stay at Star Gazer and had the pleasure of 28being able to see 9 different firework displays happening along the waterfront on New Year's Eve from the rooftop hot tub! The outdoor table view is stunning and outdoor sofa was everyone's favourite spot for reading. The apartment had many games so we enjoyed game nights outside on the deck and enjoying the frogs night singing - we all love that sound and miss it when we come home. The wi-fi access worked great and the kids enjoyed the many movie and movie channel options when tired after a fun day at the beach. The facilities at Sugar Hill are really great and we made use of the gym daily and enjoyed both pools - one a couple minutes walk from the apartment and the other a beautiful infinity pool at the Clubhouse. The Sugar Hill staff were very friendly as was the cleaning lady for the apartment. We ate at the Clubhouse restaurant twice (BBQ night and Quiz night) and found the food delicious, prices much better than expected and drinks (mohitos! my favourite) great by the pool. The access to the Fairmont beach was awesome, calm waters for relaxing and swimming and the kids enjoyed the ping pong tables. The food and drinks (smoothies were the kids favourite) at the Fairmont were great as well. The apartment location at Sugar Hill was close to Holetown so it was easy to drive by car to get to the new Massey grocery store for anything we needed. Sue, the owner, was very helpful in suggesting a car rental place at the airport which worked out well and we enjoyed touring all over the island - from Crane beach to Oistins Friday fish fry. Thank you for a really great family vacation!

Lovely spacious apartment in a great setting

We really enjoyed our stay at Stargazer, it’s a lovely spacious apartment for 2, slightly more of a squeeze for 4 adults as there is only one bathroom but fine for families. The balcony was wonderful and we enjoyed many breakfasts and sun-downers there. The top balcony has fabulous views and whilst it’s very hot we spent quite a few afternoons there. The resort is well tended with 2 beautiful pools and very convenient for all the west coast restaurants and particularly Holetown. The Fairmont Beach Club was fairly average if you are beach lovers, but there are plenty of other options nearby. We had a great time and would definitely return.

Fantastic stay at Star Gazer

Our family of four stayed at Star Gazer between 1st & 15th September 2017 and enjoyed every minute. The apartment is set on a beautifully maintained complex with excellent facilities including multiple pools, tennis courts, gym, restaurant and bar, and is maintained by very friendly staff - Delphine was especially helpful. The apartment provided everything we could have wished for, with the roof terrace, hot tub and bbq adding a special bonus compared to other apartments we have stayed at in Barbados. The views from the roof were great with some particularly spectacular sunsets - I will miss watching the sun go down and the stars come up! The comprehensive internet TV was useful for when it rained, which wasn't that often.This was our second family holiday to Barbados and we met up with friends who were revisiting for their 25th wedding anniversary - Star Gazer provided the perfect location for a celebratory bbq, champagne and cake ! A car is essential, the apartment is easy to find and provided a perfect base from which to explore Barbados. Access to the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel beach club through Sue and Paul's membership card was another great plus which we used several times as there was a beautiful beach, free sunbeds, fantastic restaurant with a great menu, very friendly staff and discounted rates on water sports hire. We noted the hotel was closing at the end of September for 1 months refurbishment and several restaurants had also closed for end of season vacations at this time e.g. Mullins beach restaurant and the Carizma on the Hill. Hole town provided the closest grocery shopping which will further improve when the new Massey store opens there. We found A1 supermarkets the most comprehensive, albeit further to travel. We had an end of holiday meal in The Tides restaurant in Hole town which we highly recommend - seated right next to the sea, the staff even sang happy birthday to us in unique Barbados style ! Overall we had a fantastic holiday at Star Gazer, we highly recommend it and look forward to returning whenever we next can.

Wonderful Stay!

Had a wonderful stay in your lovely home, amazing views and great weather. Visited lots of places on the island, got lost a few times but that added to the fun! Shame the restaurant and bar was closed during our stay, but otherwise everything was perfect. Would love to come back again sometime.

Luxurious apartment in a beautiful complex

Our experience at Sugar Hill, and with Mrs. Robinson, the owner, was flawless from start to finish. This was the first time we had not gone for a package holiday, and we were not disappointed! Mrs. Robinson kept in contact with us, and was always helpful and efficient. On arrival the apartment surpassed our expectations - it is absolutely beautiful. It was so comfortable, spacious, clean and well stocked. There are so many home comforts and more. The roof terrace was such a treat. The Sugar Hill complex is real luxury and the 2 pools are fantastic, especially the infinity pool! The staff, as to be expected with this beautiful island, were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our daily trips to the Fairmont Royal Pavilion and its beach and fantastic staff was another highlight. This was a very special holiday for us, very hard to leave, and we cannot wait to return - thank you Sugar Hill and Mrs. Robinson.

Relaxing Time!

Loved the apartment and especially the hot tub in the evenings before a BBQ. Thanks for providing such a well stocked kitchen too. Enjoyed lots of tennis and swimming at Sugar Hill - a most relaxing stay.

We had a blast!

Barbados ...... what an island, we have had a blast! We knew we were in for a brilliant time from the moment we arrived at Star Gazer. It felt like home from home with everything you could possibly want or need with the bonus of being in a truly beautiful setting. We can find fault with absolutely nothing!! The people, the scenery, the restaurants, the entertainment and the facilities at Sugar Hill have surpassed all expectation. Our 'adopted taxi driver, Steve' said to us on day one .... "you arrive in Barbados as a guest and leave as a friend'. This is so true! We look forward very much to returning. Thanks so much.

Our 4th Stay!

We really love staying here. Sugar Hill has everything we need, the apartment is excellent and Polly looked after us in her usual friendly way. We hope to be back if there is a space in the calendar at Star Gazer.

Beautiful Apartment!

We have had a fantastic last 10 days staying at Star Gazer. What a beautiful apartment! Sugar Hill has great facilities in an excellent location close to Holetown restaurants, golf and the beach. Have especially enjoyed eating at The Cliff, Cin Cin, Fish Pot and Mullins Beach Club (lunch). The restaurants and people in general have been so good with our daughter, age 10 months, that it has been easy to take her out. We really don't want to leave but will most definitely be back! Thank you so much.

Outstanding apartment in a wonderful setting

I was recommended Star Gazer by a friend and was not disappointed. Sue and Paul were extremely helpful in the build up to my stay and all of the information provided was invaluable. I was due to stay for a week but extended my stay for another week having enjoyed ourselves so much. Another thing that Sue and Paul accommodated for with ease and were only too happy to help. The apartment is immaculate and provides beautiful views out to the ocean. The BBQ and hot tub are a delight and all of the staff at Sugar Hill were friendly and welcoming. The Fairmont Pavillion is an added bonus and when I return to Barbados I won't hesitate to contact Sue and Paul again.

Excellent Property - we will be back!

Star Gazer & the Sugar Hill facilities were excellent. The property had everything we were looking for and more besides. It's bright, spacious and very well equipped. The roof terrace and jacuzzi are the perfect place for the odd sun-downer too! The tennis courts, communal pool and Spagos restaurant on site are all excellent too. Stargazer is well located for exploring the island or just popping to the beach daily. The included beach club at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion is excellent too with a lovely beach, loungers, beach bar and very friendly staff. We travelled with our 7 year old daughter who gave the whole thing 10 out of 10! I am sure will be up for a return visit in the not too distant future!

Simply wonderful

'Stargazer' proved to be the perfect setting for the most delightful holiday we've ever had. The apartment is spacious (it was a luxury to have so much space for 2 people), well situated (for the beach, restaurants, shopping and exploring in our hire car), and it is also even better than it looks in the photographs. The grounds at Sugar Hill are gorgeous, and the apartment terrace gives you a superb view of the gardens, an excellent vantage point to watch the sun set into the sea and a lovely setting for a BBQ. Stargazer is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is super as the apartment contains everything you need for your stay - including beach towels and a friendly housekeeper. Being able to use the beach at the Fairmont was an excellent bonus – particularly as there was never more than one other couple using any of the sun loungers at the same time us. I would also like to praise the owner of Stargazer, Sue, for her helpfulness and her organisational efficiency. I recommend staying at Stargazer as I cannot rate this apartment highly enough.

Bliss absolute bliss

We moved in to Star Gazer for the last week of our holiday in Barbados. We were previously renting a villa which looked wonderful in the photos but it was very dirty. Star Gazer did just the job. It was spotless……. at last I could take off my shoes……. get clean crockery out of the clean cupboards and sleep on amazing clean bed linen! Bliss! Hubby would not get out of the jacuzzi. We will definitely go back! Love it! Love it!

A Fantastic apartment, on a fantastic resort...

Myself, my wife and our 14 year old daughter have recently returned from two fantastic weeks at stargazer sugar hill. We picked up a hire vehicle at the airport from stoutes car hire as recommended by Sue and Paul. Within 10 minutes passing through customs we had our jeep and were on our way. We found the journey to sugar hill easy and stress free. Firstly this is no ordinary holiday let; it is more like more like renting somebody’s home. There is everything you could possibly think of to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. We have been lucky enough to visit the Caribbean on several occasions and we all agreed that this was the best accommodation that we have stayed in. The apartment was spotlessly clean as was the whole of the sugar hill resort. We found all the staff pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Having passes for the Fairmont Royal Pavilion beach club was an added bonus, the staff at the club was all very helpful and friendly and there was always plenty of free sunbeds and umbrellas to go around. Within a few minutes’ drive there is everything you could wish for to make a good holiday a great one. In our eyes you will not find a better more well equipped apartment for the money on the west coast. Thank you once again Sue and Paul we WILL be back next year.

Fantastic holiday at Star Gazer, Sugar Hill

Thanks to Sue and Paul for owning this fantastic apartment, set in the beautiful surroundings of Sugar Hill. As others have said, the apartment is perfectly equipped, clean and stylish. The gated resort makes you feel safe and people there can't do enough for you (great service with a genuine smile). The new onsite restaurant Nico2 serves delicious food and sundowners on Tuesday nights is worth popping in for the great view and chance to meet other residents (a lovely breeze and cheaper drinks an added bonus). We only used the beach facilities at the Fairmount a couple of times, Ryan looked after us and is deserving of his title of 'employee of the year'. Only a short stroll along the beach from here brings you to the Ramshackle beach hut (another choice amongst thousands on Barbados, for a good and reasonable priced lunch and refreshing drink). The main draw is immediately in front of Ramshackle and just a few metres off the beach is a great spot to swim with turtles. If you get there early or wait until the boats have gone (around 1600) you can get them all to yourself. Oh, and by the way, you do need a car to stay at Sugar Hill as although it is not far down the hill to the beach it seems to be a very long way back up in the heat. For evening nights out we found a local taxi driver named Steve who was honest and reliable (details left in the apartment visitor book). He even waited for us without complaint whilst we finished our drinks and conversations - with everyone so friendly and rum flowing freely this sometimes took a while. We had the best ever holiday and will definitely be back very soon. Thank you

Perfect place for a perfect holiday

Thanks to Sue and Paul for lending us your wonderful apartment for our holiday in Barbados. Stargazer and Sugar Hill are stylish, clean and peaceful with wonderful views and fantastic facilities. You have thought of everything at the apartment from the beach towels and snorkels to the WIFI, films and games, a well equipped kitchen and BBQ, and the roof terrace is a bonus. The staff at Sugar Hill are very helpful and my kids loved the pools and tennis courts. We even found a very reliable babysitter for some precious adult time, whose details we have left at the apartment. It's the perfect base to either stay put or explore Barbados, but we made most use of your Fairmont Beach Club membership which is fantastic - Kevin and his team cannot do enough to help and there are plenty places to grab a drink or snack. The beach has lovely beds/parasols, plenty of space to play, and loads to do. We swam off the shore with turtles, saw baby turtles make their way down to the sea, spotted flying fish, snorkelled, sailed, jet skiied. In my children's words "it was our best holiday ever!"
